Debbie, let me be the first to welcome to the show, the Transforming You live show. Your story is absolute straight up fire. It's raw, it's real, and it's transformative. So let's take it back to the trenches for my Transforming You family. We have veterans, we have burnout warriors, we have hope seekers who know what it's like to hit rock bottom. And you've been through the fire, know, cancer, crack addiction.
Debbie Dobbins (00:25.614)
Mm-hmm.
Marcus Hart (00:26.742)
IRS death chasing you down and most folks they would have folded you know and what was the one moment maybe eating those dollar store cookies or fighting for your life where you felt that spark like I ain't staying here.
Debbie Dobbins (00:41.954)
Yeah, it was the cancer, honestly. I've been through trauma, literally. And it was that moment when everything, because I've been teaching abundance for over 30 years and made millions and I could smoke up some, a few million. But the fact is, is that when you are stripped of everything from your physical health to all of your financial wealth,
you're sitting in a bed, can't barely move and you're on food stamps, it's time to actually have a transformation. And that's what happened. And just all of the teachings that I've been providing and sharing over all of those 30 years were just encapsulated in that moment. And I knew where I needed to be and what I needed to do. And at the same time, there was just this part of me that wanted to
relax into the experience of nothingness because literally that's what it ended up being was I had nothing and I was I mean I was living I wasn't living on the street so I mean I'm sure there's probably bigger issues but you know it's really fascinating when we have and the gratitude is I talk about this all the time there's two chapters in the book on gratitude because it's one of the three things that I share of how where do you start is gratitude
is about where you are at where you are right now, not what you get later or project that you want. And so it really was just being so grateful for the sheets that I was laying in. It was great. It was gratitude for that. had enough energy to drive myself to radiation therapy. It was the gratitude for having this beautiful cat that had been with me for so long that waited until I was better before she passed away.
It's these beautiful congruencies that really brought me not only to my knees, but to this place of recognition that we are not all of the stories that we tell ourselves. We are something much more magical than that. And that wherever we are, wherever any person is at this particular moment, they can create whatever they want. You just have to start and not just start, but also
Marcus Hart (02:37.056)
Wow.
Debbie Dobbins (03:06.166)
let go of the old stories because the stories are the things that keep us stuck. And the stories, we're talking about this a little bit before the call, the stories are in our bodies, right? Our mind, I call this our little AI, our mind is just programmed by what we've downloaded into this body. So we have an emotion, we have a chemical reaction, and then we replicate it based on those similar experiences. And so our body is actually telling our mind,
Marcus Hart (03:08.696)
Right.
Debbie Dobbins (03:35.906)
what to do, not the other way around. So it was so clear for me that when I began to tap into my feelings, my emotions, and all of those things that I had been experienced as my story for my whole life began to dissolve and untangle. And so that's the third thing that I share with people is you have to understand what your money story is or your life story, because it's money's just energy and it begins to control us.
Marcus Hart (03:59.012)
you
Debbie Dobbins (04:04.824)
through our stories, because our stories are not the truth of who we are. And so it's really interesting when I share this with clients and with groups that are just beginning on the journey, because people don't realize that we are telling ourselves the biggest stories. We are such good writers, literally in our heads and our minds and our hearts. But if we begin to look at everything that we're doing as what our story has brought us to be, we get to rewrite the story.
So that's what I began to do at the bottom, just with nothing. I began to rewrite the story and the story's turning out pretty magical.
Marcus Hart (04:43.428)
I love it. you know, speaking of rewriting the story, you know, and before I get into this question, I just want to acknowledge, you know, the cat passing. That's tough. can't, you know, fend off the thought of my cat, you know, passing away. And, you know, cats, definitely, you know, they have a special heart for those, you know, that take care of them. You know, they give that love right back. And, and...
Debbie Dobbins (05:03.032)
They do.
Marcus Hart (05:11.492)
You're definitely right. You you write about a lot of things that you mentioned and, you know, it's this counterintuitive shift that I'm hearing that flipped the script to you to discover your inner billion, which, you know, you haven't written about, you know, what, what, you know, is there a particular counterintuitive shift that helped you to discover your inner billionaire? I know you put it all out just a minute ago, but was there something specific?
know, counterintuitive to your docs, the old way.
Debbie Dobbins (05:46.222)
It's been a lot of different things, but that one about the body, because I was on so much morphine as I was going through treatment that it's hard to imagine that I could connect with my body. But it really was that moment. it was something that happened for me about 20 years ago that I went to a class called S-Factor, which ended up being
feminine movement. And what I realized then, and it brought itself forward so that I could practice it in a different way, is this feminine energy that we all have. Women and men have feminine energy. As a matter of fact, we should balance it. But it was just beginning to feel what that feminine energy feels like and what its intuition was telling me was the next indicated step.
For instance, one of the things that came up when I was going through treatment that I left to my intuition was whether or not I was going to take chemotherapy. I've always been somebody that said I would never do that. And when it was presented to me, and very many doctors were just, you have to do this, you have to do this, you have to do this. And I said, my body and my intuition is telling me no. So I didn't.
Marcus Hart (06:49.048)
Mm-hmm.
Debbie Dobbins (07:06.176)
And another thing was they told me the medical community, including my surgeon, that I would have an appliance for the rest of my life, you know, to do that stuff that we do in the bathroom. And I said, no, I said, I know that you have the ability to do something else. And I actually held her up to a higher standard than she was used to. She did a six hour surgery and put me back together and said, I can't believe that you pushed me to do that. So intuition is one of those things that I share.
all the time when I'm teaching and it just became fully orbed in that moment. And I would say that that's counterintuitive to the way we learn how to be in the world because we learn to be analytical and to examine and to figure things out. And the reality is, is if we're really in a frequency, especially of abundance, but all the frequencies that we're trying to create in our life, more loves, more relationships, more good jobs.
It's about a frequency. And so I began to really understand. and it was counterintuitive because I was one of those people that said, I'm the best man for the job because I could drive and I could push and I could figure things out. So it was for me, even though I'm very spiritual and I've been on a spiritual path my whole life, it was a little bit of me letting go and understanding and hearing that inner voice, which I have done many times.
but I had to do it on a daily basis. And even today, I wanna say, I don't think you know what you're talking about to my intuition, which I think is hilarious because it always knows. And so it was this moment of recognition that I really need to listen to my intuition more than I need to listen to what conventional guidelines are of certain things. And I'm not telling everybody to do what I did, but I want people to understand that
If we listen to our inner wisdom, it will override our mind and it will override our emotions because our intuition is our soul speaking to us. And it's really interesting when you get to that place and you can actually listen.
Marcus Hart (09:20.892)
You know, you're so right about the fact that we always trying to grab the wheel and, you know, there's the intuition in the backseat, you know, telling us go this way, go that way, keep straight. And we, you know, we think we got it, you know, but when we finally let go of that wheel and, you know, we let someone else drive that being the intuition and that, you know, the spiritual realm to like, you know, really move us forward, that's when we start finding out that like, hey, you know,
I don't need to be driving this thing all the time. But you also talk about the importance of radical responsibility though, which is a total game changer for those who's gonna listen to this. For our family out there grinding through urban chaos or PTSD, what does taking radical responsibility look like when you're barely holding on?
Debbie Dobbins (10:13.282)
You know, I think I get this question phrased in different ways all the time. And it is to just become aware of why we are in the circumstances that we're in, because we create our whole life. This is the first component of everything that I've ever teached my whole life from day one. Is that we are completely responsible for what we attract, what we promote and what we create in our lives.
So if we start with that premise, then when I look out in my life and I say, gosh, I don't really like, why do I keep seeing, you know, people that are like Sally that show up in my life? Why is that happening? Or as women, why do we keep attracting the wrong man? Why is my picker broken? You know, if I'm constantly having emotionally deregulated experiences in my life, what am I doing to put myself in that position? So everything that I teach is based on the premise of awareness.
So for instance, I just started keeping a food diary because I've been eating too much sugar and fat recently, Aware of it, but not doing anything about it. And sometimes you just have to write down your awareness. But I know that there's nobody that's taking a spoon and putting it in my mouth. Now know that's a simple example, but it extrapolates for our entire life. So no matter where we are, no matter where we are, we can take an assessment. We can...
be aware of what's creating our experience, and then begin to pay attention to our emotions and our thoughts and our repetitive behavior. Because our repetitive behavior is what keeps producing the outcomes that we say we don't want. Now, I know that trauma, my body's been traumatized by the radiation that was given to me in all of the surgeries.
I know that and I love that part of my body very deeply and I give it appreciation. So there's trauma in our bodies. That's where we hold our trauma. It doesn't matter whether you went, you know, you're, you got your legs blown off an I, an IUD or, know, somebody raped you. Trauma is trauma. Trauma is stored in the body. And then we begin to understand where it is in the body. And there's all kinds of somatic activities that I share briefly about in the book.
Debbie Dobbins (12:35.298)
but we have to begin to recognize that we, this is our vehicle, just like we were talking about a minute ago about driving, driving the car. Like it's a driverless vehicle if we let it, if we follow intuition, but yet the vehicle itself, we have to take care of. So where is that trauma? What is triggering it? Where is it coming up? And then going through various processes, which dealing with trauma is not something that somebody can do in 15 seconds. But the fact is, that
until we become aware of how we're feeling, how we're reacting, and the emotions that that's presenting, and then ask ourselves, how do we really want to feel? Because trauma, just like anything else, is a feeling. It's not a fun feeling, but it creates feelings and chemical reactions in our body. So if we begin to say, how would I like to feel instead? Because any of us, just by sitting in a chair and closing our eyes, can feel however we want.
We truly can. I used to practice hypnosis and it's so fascinating how the brain, you can tell the brain this is how you want to feel. And then it tells the body, it tells the body and the body goes, okay. So if I just say, you know, what does it feel like when, your kids come home and they say, I hate you because you didn't let me go to wherever. That's one type of feeling. You can imagine what that feels like. And you can also imagine what it feels like if they come home and they go, my God, you're the best parent ever.
Right? We can all relate to that feeling and create the feeling in our body, because that's where the body holds it. So if we're going to do anything from perspective of changing any of our circumstances, whether it comes to wealth, love, experience, as of any kind, we have to begin to create that energy in our body because that's where the frequency starts. The electromagnetic frequency start in the body because of the feelings that we have. So I always use this
this MP3 that I created called everything is working in my favor. Like literally, I say that all the time, all throughout the day, because everybody is going to have experiences that they don't particularly enjoy. Like you get up in the morning and you stepped on the Legos that the kids left out last night. You go put on the Carrigan and it doesn't work, right? You go outside in the garage and the car has a flat tire and we could spiral down so fast. No matter what our experience in life's life is.
Marcus Hart (14:58.34)
That's true.
Debbie Dobbins (15:01.58)
We all have, let's say, SHIT that shows up. And what do you do with it? It's when you say everything is working in my favor. Because all the things that I experienced and shared in the book have happened to me in their traumatic experiences. And yet they have all brought me here. And when I look back on them, I go, wow, those were, I needed to have every single one of them to be able to share number one with the world, but also to grow myself as a human.
So every experience that we're having every single day, no matter how big or how little that we say we don't want, is all there in service to us. All things work together for good. So if I wake up every morning and say, everything is working in my favor today, then I go out expecting that. So it's just a shift of how we're showing up in the world. And that's where I tell everybody to start. Everything is working in your favor.
So how do you go out into the world and expect that? It's a different way of being than waking up every day and going, God, another day. Because that's the energy that we're putting out into the universe. And the universe conspires to create whatever the hell we say we want from here. So if I want more wealth, I better start thinking, being, acting, and sharing like a wealthy person instead of, I'm in poverty or poor me and I'm lacking.
I don't have enough for this. you know, it's just, it's all about our languaging, but our language is so powerful because it sends out that energy and that frequency comes from the body.
Marcus Hart (16:40.118)
That's so true in language itself. Like how you gave us awareness. Most people cannot digest things like accountability.
responsibility, but awareness that just opens up a whole different Pandora's box, which, you know, it then leads to like, okay, let me take care of this stuff. Let me take, let me take ownership and really take care of this stuff and really invest the time. And from there, let's just change what I'm expecting.
You know, let's expect differently. You know, I love it. You know, Debbie, you're really cooking and I just want to check in with the family out there. I'm feeling this and I hope you are too. Radical responsibility definitely hits different when you've been through the fire like Debbie or even coming back from a wreck with PTSD. It's not just the woo woo hippie stuff that you're hearing here. It's real. It's gritty faith in action. So drop a truth in the comments if you're feeling this stuff. So Debbie, you know.
Like I said, you're cooking with that wisdom and our transforming family is not alone, ready to reframe their struggles. So let's just career a bit. Let's talk money, let's talk money, wordiness and how you see it through a faith field lens almost. So you said money is God in motion. That's a bold claim, especially for folks who raised to think that money is dirty or evil. How does this philosophy change?
Debbie Dobbins (17:44.782)
Thank
Marcus Hart (18:08.292)
everything about building true wealth, especially when you were staring down at $350,000 worth of IRS debt.
Debbie Dobbins (18:17.218)
Yeah. So that's again, that goes back to our money story and what is the story that we're telling ourselves. And we all have what I call a thermostat of how much money that we can make, but we've also been imprinted generationally about our beliefs around money. So maybe you come from a family that is, they've worked in, let's say an auto factory for decades, right? And this whole idea, because I'm not a big fan of
what we created with the industrial revolution from the perspective of time for dollars. Okay. The reason that I'm not a big fan of it is because we have now told everybody through this process that you're worth how much you make an hour instead of giving ourselves the true value of what we're worth. That's why I always get my clients, you know, to begin with, let's go find you being an entrepreneur somewhere.
or being in sales and get commissions because then you can begin to see the value that you bring in a work relationship differently. So we've been programmed to believe that we are time for dollars. Like my value is $10 an hour. My value is $30 an hour. That's not the value of who you are. But if that's the box that we put ourselves in, that story will remain until we change it. And if we begin to look that our value is so much
greater than that and that money itself is just a symbol. It's just a symbol. It's dots on a page or figures on a page or paper. That's it. But we've given it so much power. We've given it so much power that we have forgotten that it is energy in form, which is God. So if we have a relationship with money that says I trust God or the universe,
to provide for all of my needs, it will show up in so many ways because now we've opened the funnel, if you will, to let more in. So an example of that is when I began teaching people, I'll say, okay, began to imagine how you wanna feel if you had, say for instance, a patio, you wanted to add a patio to your house or you wanted this beautiful home that you keep driving by every single day. It's about the feelings that you're gonna have.
Debbie Dobbins (20:39.884)
when you experience that. And it isn't about the how, because we get so stuck as humans in the how. So how am I going to get that how? Well, if you keep asking that question, you're never going to be able to visualize that you actually have it. And it's not about the money that you need to get to create that experience. That's why we get stuck around money, as we believe that if I need to get one thing, I have to have enough money to get it.
Marcus Hart (20:42.666)
Mm-hmm.
Debbie Dobbins (21:08.76)
And the fact of the matter is, is it can come to you in so many different ways. I have seen clients of mine get free houses, I mean, not free, but they're given to them, cars, trips, experiences, because they were willing to be open to receive. So the problem that most people have is their receiving channel is completely blocked. They've shut it down because they believe that they can only receive one way. So they have a little tiny sliver open.
And if it doesn't come through that way, then it doesn't come through at all. So the first thing I say is expect what it is that you're feeling, which is that feeling of a beautiful patio or this house that I'm going to live in and the kids are playing in the backyard and bringing all their friends over and having just this beautiful, delightful time. Or I'm traveling to Europe or I'm, you know, sitting, looking over, look the Venice canal. I mean, it's about that feeling that we're having, not the actual experience because honestly,
People say they want a lot of things and they don't even know what that would feel like. But if we begin to restrict, and that's why I use this phrase, micromanaging the universe or micromanaging God, it's like, okay, look, look, God, this is what I want. And I'm going to tell you how you need to get it to me. How silly is that when there's an infinite number of possibilities that could show up like an infinite infinity is
Marcus Hart (22:25.826)
Yeah, sauce. Yeah.
Debbie Dobbins (22:33.204)
we don't, can't even wrap our minds around it. There's an infinite number of possibilities of how this experience or these things can show up for us. And when we're limiting how that can be, then we are really not doing a service to ourselves, but we're not doing a service to the world or to the universe and God. So it's really just about expecting good rather than expecting bad.
because that's what most of us are out there expecting the other shoe to drop. Like this always happens to me. That's a really thing. If you hear yourself saying that, that's a really good place to start to see how you're thinking and how you're believing. When this always happens to me, that is a clear indication that you are creating that. So what do you want to create instead? We really have to be expecting good. And then our reticular vision takes over and starts to show it to us.
Marcus Hart (23:28.718)
For our sisters out there, know, we got the Sarahs of the world. It's maybe a single mom or archmignory in her second act. You know, what's the biggest money story holding them back, you know, and how do you help them rewrite it?
Debbie Dobbins (23:41.634)
Yeah. Well, it depends on where they're at everybody. And, and this is the beauty of it. I also just finished writing another book about called the time bender method is because we also put into our bucket of energy. don't have enough time. Right? So let's say a single mom who's struggling is if I say, well, you know, you can get a little side hustle. There's lots of side hustles that we can do besides driving an Uber that women can do to generate more.
wealth to come into their lives because I teach about investing and I teach about creating side hustles and all of those things. And yet you have to be able to also say, I have more than enough time. So that's why I created that methodology is to begin to take away that excuse because we all have our excuses of why we can't do things. And if we begin to see that we can actually even bend time, we can bend time to create more of it so that we can.
Marcus Hart (24:23.33)
Mm-hmm.
Debbie Dobbins (24:39.372)
become more of a vessel to receive whatever it is. And the thing is, is that most people don't realize is they have a multiplicity of gifts that they could monetize. So the thing that I want to get everybody out of the box is the J O B box just over broke. Because if you're stuck wherever you're at, it's because generally you believe that that's, that's as much as you can do. So if you have a job that's not serving you and not making you enough money,
We need to get you to that place where you believe that you can get one that's going to support you and value you for what you are. Then look at some of the gifts that you have that you can monetize because there's so many things. And I want to share a quick little story. When I was going through cancer treatment, had no money, none, literally. I was on food stamps and I happened to turn 63 at that time. So I started getting social security, which was fabulous, a whole $1,300 a month. But the fact is, that
while I was sick, could get on the computer and I started taking surveys that paid me from a dollar to $5. Sometimes the surveys took 20 minutes. But see, the thing is, is that I'm willing to go to any lengths to build my wealth back up and also to begin to build my confidence that I could create wealth again. So when somebody tells me that they're in a bad way, I say, well, what is the story that's keeping you stuck?
because it's the story that keeps us stuck. It's not our circumstances. And so from that, that was an investment in me to do surveys online. Literally, that's like crazy thinking to get a dollar and $5. I finally built up to being a secret shopper and I maybe got $20 for go visiting a company to see if they were doing what they were supposed to be doing. But the fact is, is that we start where we are. We start where we are and we build on that.
So if it's just making an extra $10 a month to begin with, that's where you start. But if you go in it with this attitude of, well, I'm either here, I'm broken in poverty, and I want to be here and be a millionaire, but you don't take some interval steps to get there, then you're really just deluding yourself. Now, it doesn't mean you can't accelerate and build momentum, but the fact is that we all have to start exactly where we are.
Debbie Dobbins (27:03.008)
and begin where we are and do the things that will begin to build our own confidence that we can bring in unexpected good. Because literally once you start expecting good, it shows up in so many different ways. People give you money. People pay for your stuff while you're standing in line. Insurance claims that you don't even remember you had show up in the mail. I mean, I can tell you so many stories of people that have unexpected good show up for them once they get on the path.
but you have to get on the path.
Marcus Hart (27:34.949)
Yeah, that's right. So you talk about the wealth wound, you know, for our family, battle and shame or low self-esteem, maybe from past mistakes like addiction, you know, what's this wound and how does healing and spark that inner billionaire?
Debbie Dobbins (27:52.792)
So one of the things that I began to notice over a long period of time was that women especially, but men as well, we have, and this is a human created emotion, shame. So people can shame us, but we shame ourselves more than anybody. And so when we shame ourselves, which simply is saying to myself, there's a part of me, a behavior, an action,
Marcus Hart (28:14.062)
you
Debbie Dobbins (28:21.838)
a circumstance that I don't like about myself. And when we lock that away, when we lock it away and we don't want to look at it, it's still there. So what I talk about when I coach women especially is that there is this healing process that begins by loving every part of us, which is a very challenging experience. And I know because I,
Honestly, I didn't talk about my drug addiction in public until I wrote this book. Like it was, it was hidden away in a closet. Yes, some people knew, but for the most part, people that met me were like, you know, they had no idea. I mean, I don't look like your typical drug addict, but the fact of the matter is, is that there is no typical look for that and it's a secret. so in 12 steps, they will tell you your secrets will kill you because they will.
Marcus Hart (29:11.585)
No, it's not.
Debbie Dobbins (29:19.02)
And we all have secrets. Every single one of us has secrets. Some parts of us that we don't want the world to see. So bringing that out into the light, first of all, for us to love every part of ourselves, we cannot say that this part of me is not okay when it is the totality of who we are. It makes up our entire being. So that self love and self forgiveness is the very first.
place that we start with that to begin to heal that. And is that a journey that happens like that? Absolutely not. It is something that is an ongoing process because there are many days, you know, especially if I've been I've been binging on sugar, I go, I don't really like that, you know, extra muffin top that's going on there right now. But the fact is, is that it's part of me. It's part of me. And if I can't love all of me, then I'm really not loving myself completely.
Marcus Hart (30:15.0)
true. Yeah. Well, you know, let me check in with the family one more time because this is hidden home. And I know it is for you guys family money as God in motion. You know, it's a whole sermon right here. And I'm thinking about my own journey, how Shane tried to keep me small after incarceration, you know, so drop a comment. What's one money story that you're ready to rewrite? know, Debbie, again, you are dropping truth bombs that are transforming family needs.
So let's get practical. How do we activate this inner billionaire and keep the abundance flowing without crashing back into chaos? That's spinning the block type thing.
Debbie Dobbins (30:54.07)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's being consistent and making a commitment to yourself that you're going to do it. I am happy to share my book for free with your audience. You can go to my website, www.thedebbydobbins.com, and you can get the book for free. And it's got some tools that go with the book because I've created a course which is not part of those tools. there's just a place that we begin.
If somebody's serious, they can pick up the book and they can, you know, you can get it on Amazon, but you can get it for free with some guides to help you begin this process. Part of that is also on my website. talk about my Inter-Billionaire Circle because it's about support. so using any kind of support group, whether it be a grief support group, a 12 step program, you know, I want to find the love of my life support group.
As human beings, we love to be supported by our fellow human beings. It's just a thing that's part of our DNA. So I always invite people to join my tribe, much like you've got your family, they're joining you. And so it's just to get or get, create little book clubs of your own using that book, Your Inter-Billionaire, to support each other. Because sometimes this journey is very challenging when you do it alone. So that's my biggest recommendation to people.
Marcus Hart (31:58.562)
Mm-hmm.
Debbie Dobbins (32:21.986)
And then I also have the divine wealth activator, which I have for your audience with the well, with the coupon code wealth. They can get it for a dollar and it just gives you a little tool, if you will, to begin to stay focused on unexpected good. Because when we begin to, when you, you know, what we focus on expands. So if we're focusing on lack, guess what? We can't get ourselves out of lack or poverty by focusing on that.
If we start focusing on our good and unexpected good, which shows up in the form of money and trips and boats and houses and all kinds of things, if we just stay focused on unexpected good, it shows up. So that's just an opportunity for people to visibly do that with this sort of a sheet that I created. it's just, there's so many ways out there. And I love to give away free things because I believe that everybody
is inherited this inner billionaire. You have it inside of you. It's just about revealing it. And once you reveal it, that's when the magic starts to happen because we're all close to it right now. We don't even know it's there. So we're living day to day going, my gosh, it's another day. It's another, you know, I don't have enough money. I'm going to, you know, the car broke down. What am I going to do? You know, I just don't believe that. And I've been there, done that. So it's not like I haven't lived in that my lifetime. But the fact is, is you don't have to.
Marcus Hart (33:54.445)
Yeah, so you know this divine wealth activator, sounds cool and I'll greatly appreciate you like offering it up for like you know practically you know you know absolutely lesser what is more of its value. It sounds powerful you know what is it in how does it rewire release about money for someone stuck in scarcity or even if they just out here hustling hard you know we talked about time for dollars earlier.
Debbie Dobbins (34:20.44)
So one of the things that I shared earlier was we have got these blinders on of how wealth comes into our life. And so this is just a little portal, a little opening so that you begin to see, I do it on a monthly basis. So you begin to say, okay, this is how much I know is coming in because if you're in a job, you get paid, say on the 1st and the 15th. So you know that money's coming in. Where else can I see
And then also take a recording of, so for instance, when I do a food diary, which is what I'm doing, you know, this week, I'm keeping track of what I'm putting in my mouth, right? I don't have to do that. Maybe I could mentally do it, but what I'm doing is I'm also becoming hyper aware of it and I'm keeping track of it. So it's very similar to, it's not that same thing. It's not a food diary, but it's a very similar experience that when we begin to say,
And then at the end of every day, when you go, wow, what did I get? What did I receive that was unexpected? And when we begin to look at it from that lens, it's amazing to me because I've had people show up in my course and they were getting so many free gifts from people. mean, they were getting watches and they were getting Indian turquoise bracelets and just hats, things that they love. And they weren't, they weren't paying attention to it.
So it's one of those things that's also about that focus when we begin to focus on the good and the things that are showing up in our life, because sometimes it doesn't show up in cash, right? We're so attached and addicted to cash or the idea of cash. When the reality is if someone buys you lunch or someone buys you, you know, they pay for your coffee to line or to people in front of you or somebody, friend of yours offers to wash your car.
Marcus Hart (36:01.016)
Mm.
Debbie Dobbins (36:18.818)
I mean, it's just amazing how many things we receive in our lives and we take for granted. But when we begin to focus on that, and so it's just a, it's got a video that goes with it. So it explains how you do the, the tool, but it's really beautiful. And I've had nothing but people tell me, wow, that really shifted my way of being. And it's, it's just a simple little exercise and tool that is, it seems really simple, but it's so powerful.
Marcus Hart (36:51.682)
You know, we, I know we have gone into overtime and I do apologize, you know, for holding so long, but like this conversation is just, you know, hooking me, you know, I'm drawn in and you know, so many of our audience out there, I'm pretty sure they are too, you know. So I definitely want to hit these last three questions up because I feel like they are very important. Like for example, you talk about money dates and holy homework, you know, for our family.
Want to break free from financial struggles? What's one simple practice they can start today to shift their money mindset?
Debbie Dobbins (37:27.222)
the money date. It's one of my favorite things to do. And if we think of money as a relationship with basically God. So if you're having a relationship with anybody, and let's say that you've got a relationship with somebody that is texting you constantly all the time, right? And how you doing? And you just had a date and they just, you know, they're clinging and obsessive. That's what we do with money. That's our relationship with a lot of us with money. And so think of money as a relationship.
And so I talk about having a money date. so put on a nice outfit, put on a candle, get a glass of wine, and just really begin to have a relationship with money. So maybe it's your checking your accounts. Maybe it's just looking at that credit card bill to see how many opt-in things that you've done that are now every month. And you go, I don't even use those anymore. It's really such a fun thing. And it gets deeper and deeper and deeper. But the fact is is that I use it as a date, not as
my gosh, I've got to sit down and I've got to figure out numbers and do a budget because it really isn't about that. It's about a relationship. And I really think that gratitude on the go, I call it gratitude on the go, is one of the most important things that people can do as opposed to just writing a gratitude list. So what happens when people think about gratitude? They sit and write a list. what am I grateful for? I don't know. I call it gratitude on the go. Go live your life. And as you're living it,
just take those moments and say, holy cow, this is amazing. I do this all the time. We take for granted that we even have internet access. Like we take for granted that we're on this beautiful Riverside platform, right? This is beautiful. This is so exciting. I do this. I'm driving in my car. I love my car. I have it. It has a name because it gets me to where I want to go. I don't like cars because they look fancy or whatever. They're so, it's a relationship that I'm having with my car. I,
Marcus Hart (39:09.41)
Yes, it is. Yeah.
Debbie Dobbins (39:23.256)
tap the wind, you know, the side of the car and I say, hi, you know, I'm so happy you're taking me to where I'm going. But it's that gratitude on the go. Just take those moments during your day and be grateful because that gratitude brings in more good. Those are two things.
Marcus Hart (39:39.798)
I love it. And you're living large now, know, Texas, the Caribbean, Cassie free debt is gone. What's the one question you asked yourself, Davey, that keeps your wealth spiritual and financial and employment.
Debbie Dobbins (39:47.31)
Yeah.
Debbie Dobbins (39:56.694)
Am I being authentic?
Debbie Dobbins (40:01.774)
We've all got masks and we all, I mean, I've learned over years that I am my authentic self. And yet there are times when I'm not. And it's those times that I don't feel as powerful as I could when I am in my own authenticity. And we hear that word a lot these days. And yet that is so important for every single person on the planet is to really, once you begin to reveal your inner billionaire and you begin to open and
Marcus Hart (40:01.774)
I like that. Yeah.
Debbie Dobbins (40:31.628)
be aware of your stories, whatever those are, you can begin to say, wow, this is mine. This is who I really am. And this is a story that somebody else gave to me. And the reason I'm having certain thoughts is because someone else gave me those thoughts. If we really drill down ourselves and strip away all the programming and all the stories and all the imprints, we're usually not the person that we think we are.
We are just beautiful, loving, caring human beings. And so for me, I wake up every day and ask myself, I being as authentic as I can be and where can I be more authentic? And sometimes that's challenging because we want to be something else for certain people because that makes them more comfortable, not us.
Marcus Hart (41:26.114)
Yeah, that right. And, authenticity is so important. It lacks in our society nowadays. the fact that, like, you know, you can attach that with billionaires and, you know, you can see what that looks like. We got a couple of billionaires out there that's... They definitely show the true self in the public. And we can take a lot from that to live unapologetically, you know.
That goes to my last question. For our family out there, maybe you're bad with PTSD or model fighting burnout, what's one final piece of advice that will help them tap into their inner billionaire and live unapologetically abundant?
Debbie Dobbins (42:13.57)
The first thing that everyone must have a realization about is that they can be, do or have whatever they desire, not what they want, what they desire in their life. And if you start with that premise, then it's just a matter of, because it's not, there's not one path for everybody. Like my book is a path for certain people. There is,
You know, speaking of PTSD living in Texas, Texas just passed legislation that we can start experimenting with psychedelics. I forget the name of the drug. I've taken ayahuasca. I've done a lot of different things that can help us move through those things that are keeping us stuck. So the very first thing is to make a decision that you are going to be the person that you desire to be in your life. Start
behaving and being that person, number one, and it may be just incremental. And at the same time, know that if you listen to your intuition and you expect the answers, the answers will come. That's the key, is we have to expect. When we ask a question, whether it be in a prayer or to God or to the universe, when we ask the question, we then, it's our job to expect that the answer is coming.
Maybe it's not immediate, but it is on the way and it has to be revealed in a way that we can see it. So if we're expecting it, all of our answers will come. We don't have to figure anything out. The answers will present themselves. And I think that's the biggest lesson that I had to understand for myself is cause I was a control freak. I could fix anything. I could manage anything. I could barrel through anything. I could do anything. And the fact of the matter is it is so much easier.
if you just allow, allow these things to show up for you and the wealth itself, however you want to make money, because there's so many different ways that money works. I love money. I love money because it's so diverse. So it could be investing. It could be a multi-level marketing thing. It could be real estate. It could be owning your own business. It could be serving, you know, a certain faction. It's so amazing. We have so much potential and possibility. We have to expect that it's all there for us.
Marcus Hart (44:39.844)
I it. And you know, I know throughout the entire recording today, I nodded a lot. I smiled a lot because all of this just hits the right spots. you know, it really resonates with me. And the book itself, like it's golden, know, beyond golden. And I don't say that lightly. And you're golden, you know, just to be able to match the face with the book and see it breathe and living and walking. It's such an experience.
experience today that truly cheers, know, so tell us, us the website, you know, that we want to hit you up at.
